Maha Mrityunjaya Jaap Anusthan involves the intense repetition of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra—first revealed in the Rigveda and believed to have been given by Lord Shiva Himself to Rishi Markandeya.
This Anusthan is performed with strict adherence to Vedic rituals, including:
